Most Beautiful Ornament I received
Christmas Gift made of a Spare Journal Cover
Fabric Journal Covers
This is a padded a beaded fabric Journal Cover that I made for my very dear friend Pierrette I had a slight problem as for some reason Journal and paper sizes are not the same world wide and where she lives journals a sized 'Letter' paper size and where I live they are 'A4' size however managed to overcome the problem by finding her a special journal with sections within it so that she can create her own personal Journal for all different types of projects and techniques

Christmas Ornaments
These are some goose eggs that I have decorated as a little Christmas gift for my very dear friend Pierrette.
I had originally made one that was beaded but had an accident when trying to finish it and as time was against me as I had to get her gift into the post for it to arrive in time for Christmas and with the time it takes to get across the pond came up with these as an alternative option and just hope that she likes them

Painting
This is a fun painting that I did for a Halloween joke for my very dear friend Pierrette it is a total mixture of mediums from pencil to pen and ink and gel pens and watercolours and even acrylic inks.
I always tease her that I am a witch and can land on her roof at anytime and asked her to make sure that her roof was ready for my landing onHalloween, however it seemed that some things started to go wrong as we had a postal strike here in the UK and it seemed that my little joke gift to her would not arrive in time, however due to my putting a spell on all the postmen worldwide that if they did not deliver to Pierrette in time for Halloween then I would turn them all into slimy wart infested toads and it seemed to work as it arrived just in the nick of time as it ormally takes around 5 or 6 days for post to arrive between us this took 12 days and I was starting to think that it had got lost.

Watercolours
This is my very first attempt at watercolours and I hope that this will be the start of a new and interesting method of painting, instead of with a needle with a brush and some paint.
I am also just trying a special project for a Halloween gift in Pen and Ink which so far is going well.
Who knows I might even be able to create my own hand drawn or painted Christmas Cards this year. ( I think that is wishful thinking) however I love to learn new and interesting techniques and at the moment after a spell in hospital I am enjoying using a brush instead of a needle

Hapsburg Lace Sampler
This is a Hapsburg Lace Sampler from a design of Tanya Berlin of Berlin Embroidery
http://www.berlinembroidery.com/hapsburglace.htm I have made it into a Bell Pull instead of having it framed and have changed the colours of the ribbon from the origianal design of baby pink and baby blue to a Royal Blue and a Chocolate Brown. This is going to be a gift for my Gary and Pauline, my very dear brother in law and his wife.

Freestyle Embroidery
This is a little cottage from a kit that I stitched years ago but just had in my finished projects box laying there sad and neglected and one day I asked my very dear friend Pierrette if she would like to have it to go alongside the Thatched Cottage that I stitched for her birthday and she said that she would love it. Pierrette had it framed and now the lonely little cottage that was all sad and forelorn looks beautiful with it mount and very pretty matching frame

City & Guilds
This is a little stitch sample that was the first one that I created whilst doing my City & Guilds embroidery and design course. We had to chose a picture and I liked one that was of 'Diatomes' which are found in water and cannot be seen by the naked eye. This covers several techniques from applique to beading and a trial of different stitches. The fabrics are all silk and the threads used are also silk
Art Dolls
This is a little art doll called Fleur that I made for Pierrette we were in an Art Doll exchange and as well as making a doll for our chosen partners we also both made one for each other. Her dress is made from Dupion Silk and I tried to make her as a Fuchsia flower fairy doll. Her wings are made from fused Angelina fibres and this is her in the garden leaning against a large flower pot
Aprons
My very dear friend Pierrette loves aprons and I have made several for her and this is the only one that I have a photo of. We have a little standing joke between us about 'Bees' and this fabric if you look closely has got lots of little bees all over it, sorry its not a very good photo, perhaps Pierrette herself will take some photos of her other aprons along with this one so that you can see them all

Its been Framed
This the the little cottage that I made for my dearest of friends Pierrette for her Birthday and she has just collected it from the framers and I am sure that you will agree that the choice of mounts/mats and frame are just perfect for it. Credit for the choice goes to Pierrette's husband who has had the framing done for an extra Birthday gift to her from him.
You can see a picture earlier in this blog when I first finished the little cottage before I sent it from the UK to the US

Bargello Fantasy Needlepoint
Bargello Fantasy is a Loretta Spears design, I started it around Easter last year but due to ill health had to stop work on it after only completing a small part of it. I was then unable to stitch at all during the time I had my operation and afterwards whilst having treatment and recovery and only started stitching again just before Christmas but then my time was taken up with creating Christmas Gifts and then after Christmas stitching some Birthday gifts which I finished around 3 weeks ago which is when I started work again on Bargello Fantasy called by me 'Blue' this is a companion piece to the other Loretta Spears design that I stitched just after Christmas last year called Bargello Symphony which was called by me 'Pink'
