I am also just trying a special project for a Halloween gift in Pen and Ink which so far is going well.
Who knows I might even be able to create my own hand drawn or painted Christmas Cards this year. ( I think that is wishful thinking) however I love to learn new and interesting techniques and at the moment after a spell in hospital I am enjoying using a brush instead of a needle

That is really good. Are you sure it's your first watercolor? Amazing.
Thank you Kate, I know its a little rough and raw, and looking back at it I can see lots of things I would have done differently but yes it is the first time I have done any painting other than walls and doors in the house and not done those myself for many years now.
So I am now lerning brushpainting instead of needlepainting and today am playing around with pen and ink for drawing with lots of pretty coloured inks. Who knows what will be next Pastels or oils or acrylics the list is endless but I am having fun which is the most important thing.
Lovely painting! By the way, you've been tagged.
Terry,
I love what you have done with this first watercolour, especially the little lake upfront.
Keep going, girl, you are doing great, as usual.
Will be watching for you next creations (big smile)
Pierrette =^..^=
It is lovely, a real fabulous first try. None of my watercolors were that good! LOL
Any outlet for our creative spirits is a good one, Terry. You have done a really good job on this first piece. Go for it!

That's come out nicely, Terri! Watercolour is fun, isn't it? I'm not very good at it, (don't really have time to practise.....), but it's certainly a lot faster than stitching!!
Sorry to hear you've been in hospital! I thought something must have been wrong as you've been so quiet of late.=( Hope you're all better now.=)
